Murder Mystery Dinner Events at Kitley House

Featured on BBC TV CASH IN THE ATTIC!!!

The Candlelight Theatre Company Presents -

Kitley House Hotel is delighted to continue its long-standing relationship with The Candlelight Theatre Company of Torbay into 2010. This is the 10th season of Murder Mystery Dinners at Kitley House in South Devon and their popularity continues to grow. The format for the evening is very simple starting with a Cocktail Reception at 7.00pm when the actors assume their roles.

The 3-course Murder Mystery Dinner follows during which the actors develop the cunning plot and "accidents" do and will happen. The murder(s) are enough to test even the greatest detectives but are you up to it? Plots and themes do change regularly with new ones being shown all the time!

Murder Mystery FAQ's

WHAT HAPPENS AT ONE THESE MURDER MYSTERY DINNER THINGS..?

Whilst you sit down to a delicious dinner with a chilled glass of wine, our actors will lay the clues that you have to unravel. A murder will take place during the meal and it's up to you to investigate and accuse a suspect.

The action starts over pre-dinner drinks and concludes over coffee with the police supervising. Guests are encouraged to join in although no one is given a particular character. And it's fine by us if all you want to do is sit back, relax and let us do all the work.

We have a number of stories so if you book again you will never see the same murder mystery twice!

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Well that's up to you. We tend to encourage smart evening wear but if you want to go the whole hog and wear bow tie and ball gowns, then great. We also do themed evenings where appropriate dress is an advantage - these are shown!

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I INVITE?

We are happy to perform for numbers from 35 - 60 at Kitley House. Seating is normally banquet style however if you prefer a more intimate evening smaller tables can be accommodated on request in advance.

IS IT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?

We always welcome children but in our experience under 10's don't really understand what's going on and can become upset...
